The flipper disc
is a new format that makes sense..
It’s a great way for people to
gradually transition their home
movie collection from DVD to Blu-ray.
The flipper disc has a DVD copy of
the film on one side, and then on
the other side of film, a Blu-ray
copy.. Lava Records experimented
with something similar a few years
ago with CD/DVD but DVD audio never
caught on like it was supposed to.
That’s mainly due the illegal
downloading craze that was two years
ago and DVD audio never catching on.
Universal makes it run with the
flipper disc, a run that makes
sense, with the release of the
Bourne series on flipper disc.
The Bourne
Supremacy
is the follow up to
The Bourne
Identity.
It’s the second movie in the Bourne
series. Marie and Bourne are in
hiding from Treadstone and the rest
of the CIA. They haven’t been
bothered in a few months until
Bourne spots a hitman and things go
wrong. Marie dies and Bourne gets
severely pissed at his former
bosses… only they’re not entirely
behind it. The movie follows Bourne
on a suspense-filled ride through
Berlin and Russia as Bourne
continues to run from the government
and some surprising enemies.
Like the
flipper version of
The Bourne
Identity,
The Bourne Supremacy’s Blu-Ray side
is far better. Bonus features on
The Bourne
Identity
are better than they were with this
movie because there are mainly
behind the scenes/making of features
on this disc whereas there were lots
of looks at the creation of the
material with the first movie. The
features aren’t bad, they were just
better with the first movie.
The Bourne
Supremacy
was a good follow up to
The Bourne
Identity,
it wasn’t as good as the first film
but it was still decent. It was a
little harder to follow than the
first Bourne, but it was another
fast paced spy movie. This was
probably the worst movie of the
three Bourne movies but that doesn’t
make it a bad flick. It’s just not
as good as the other two. The rule
with the Bourne movies is simple. If
you only want one- You have to have
The Bourne
Identity.
If you want more than one- you
should have all three.
