Early in 2005, former members of the Dayton based bands Auryn, North Side Tribe, and Mercy Woods took a leap of faith and moved to Austin to record with up and coming producer Dwight Baker (Podunk, Dakona, Vallejo). After two months they returned forever changed from the experience and decided that within each other they had found both a creative and personal bond that could no longer be ignored. All four members decided to leave behind their previously successful projects and focus solely on bringing this new one farther than any of them had went previously. Hence "Northmont" was born. "Northmont" stands for "North Montgomery County" where all four band members currently live and call home.

Congratulations Northmont on an incredible year in 2005, and good luck on what could be a huge year in 2006.
