The Reeves triplets, better known as New York indie rockers Council, just released an EP called Haunts Me. The EP features four original songs that the band has mostly released as singles in the past few months.
The first three original songs on the EP are "Born Ready", "Savages", and "Get Numb." They're arena ready songs big on bass and beats and featuring big hooks with Patrick Reeves' awesome vocal. These songs are perfect for hockey and football stadiums to pump up crowds or perfect for quarantine workouts. Maybe they're targeted for that niche a little too closely, but like The Score what they do works, so why change it up?
The real star of the EP is the final song and title track from the EP called "Haunts Me." The production is scaled back a bit and Patrick Reeves' vocal is the clear star of the track. It's an anthematic song that's sure to be a favorite of the band's growing number of fans and a song that you're going to want to check out.
Council's four song EP is incredibly consistent and overall, it's damn good. These four songs are produced and performed exceptionally well. Moving forward you'd like to hear them do more songs like "Haunt Me" - but as is, this music is great. Council's a growing indie band and as they continue to put music out like this it's easy to hear why.
