Fall Out Boy

Believers Never Die (Volume Two)
Artwork

It's hard to believe that Fall Out Boy has two volumes of Greatest Hits, but they do. After going on hiatus at the tail end of last decade, they came back after a few years and they came back with a vengeance, releasing three albums and arguably finding more success than they did in the mid 2000's with their initial surge. Last week Fall Out Boy released Believers Never Die (Volume Two) featuring the awesome artwork from the first volume - just with a red hue instead of a blue one.

The new volume has Fall Out Boy's hits from the past six years and a few of their favorite album tracks too. "My Songs Know What You did In The Dark (Light Em Up) was their triumphant return back to rock and it's featured as the first song here. All these songs are tracked chronologically which is always a cool feature on greatest hits releases. On top of that they did a good job of including some lesser known songs like "Young Volcanoes."

There are ten singles/hits on this volume and then there are three new songs at the end including the recent collaboration with Lil Peep called "I've Been Waiting" and their latest single "Dear Future Self (Hands Up)" featuring and produced by Wyclef Jean. There's also an unreleased song on the set called "Bob Dylan" - which might be a personal favorite Fall Out Boy song since they're return.

Fall Out Boy has been around for almost twenty years now and they've had different phases throughout their return. Greatest hits collections aren't as prominent as they were a decade ago - everybody can just make a playlist - but if you want everything in one place, a Fall Out Boy refresher, or the three new songs… it's not such a bad release. If you like anything from them it's worth listening to everything together.
