New Found Glory

From the Screen to Your Stereo 3
Artwork

A lot of people first got their introduction to New Found Glory back when they released the original From The Screen To Your Stereo almost twenty years ago. Pop punk covers were a relatively new thing back then. Seven years later, they released another album featuring covers from movies, From The Screen To Your Stereo 2. Now, they're back with the third entry in their series, From The Screen To Your Stereo 3.

The third iteration of From The Screen To Your Stereo features songs from all over the place. There's recent tracks like "Cups", "This Is Me", and "Let It Go." Then, there are a songs a little older like "Accidentally in Love" and "A Thousand Years." There are also a couple of 80's songs in "The Power of Love" and "Eye of the Tiger." It's a nice mix of music that have all been recorded by the band remarkably well with their own New Foung Glory flair. The songs are all produced well and other than Jordan Pundik sounding a bit older, there's the same energy here that New Found Glory had a decade ago.

To some people, this seems like an easy release for New Found Glory, and it probably is. But it's also a link to the band for new listeners. Kids hear "Cups" or "This Is Me" getting a new treatment with a ton of new energy, they like that. Then New Found Glory picks up more fans that aren't pushing 40. It's a win-win, pop punk fans of today will pick this up and love it. Fans from yesterday will probably like it even more.
