3 Doors Down

Acoustic Back Porch Jam - EP
Artwork

3 Doors Down just released an acoustic EP featuring six of their classic songs called Acoustic Back Porch Jam and it's surprisingly good. Vocalist Brad Arnold's vocals are recorded clean and sound perfect throughout these six songs and all of the acoustic instrumentation and percussion is on point.

The six songs featured on the EP are, "When I'm Gone", "Let Me Go", "It's Not My Time", "The Real Life", "Kryptonite" and "Here Without You." All of them are terrific. In particular "Let Me Go" and "Here Without You" are tremendous. I would almost rather listen to the new acoustic versions of those songs instead of the originals. If there's a weak song on the record, I'd say that it's "Kryptonite" - the performance isn't bad, just the acoustic arrangement isn't quite up to snuff with the other songs on the EP.

3 Doors Down's "Acoustic Back Porch Jam" is a great listen and something that any fan of the band will want to come back to over and over again. Hopefully it does well enough for the guys so they'll put out a sequel.
