Catfish and The Bottlemen, winners of the 2016 BRIT Award for British Breakthrough Act, unleash their much anticipated new album The Ride [Capitol Records] on May 27, 2016.
Today, the band also shares a new music video for the album's first official single, "Soundcheck," directed by Malia James. You can check it out below.
Written by Van McCann and produced by D. Sardy, the album was recorded mostly in Los Angeles and features eleven bold and riffing new tracks that verge on the anthemic. With the explosive single "Soundcheck" quickly climbing the alternative radio charts, Catfish and The Bottlemen are ready to make 2016 their own.
"I feel like everybody started thinking too outside the box trying to be arty and different," says Van. "We wanted to stay inside the box. I always say if you can play it on an acoustic guitar and win over a bar or a kitchen even of rowdy people...then you've done it...that's how I see song writing."
