Blink-182's Travis Barker says that his addiction to painkillers once left him in a suicidal state.

Blink-182's Travis Barker says that his addiction to painkillers once left him in a suicidal state.

Barker admitted that his lowest point came in 2004 while on tour with his band. The band arrived in Australia for a series of live dates, but Barker was so hooked on painkiller Oxycodone that he was unable to even make the first gig.

"I was so addicted to Oxycodone, and I had a security that would actually sleep during the day and then stay up at night to make sure I was breathing. That was pretty pathetic," Barker explained in a new interview with Billboard.

"Back then I was living very much day-to-day. My attitude was like, 'S**t, I could be dead tomorrow.' I grew up losing my mom at a young age, being shot at at a young age. Doing lots of drugs. If it was my time, it was my time, but then it wasn't until when I had my kids - everything changed."
