Yellowcard Front Man Resurfaces In New Band


After placing Yellowcard on indefinite hiatus last summer, Ryan Key has recently resurfaced recording new music with guitarist Sean O’Donnell from the band Reeve Oliver under the band name 'Big If.'

Yellowcard lead singer Ryan Key has teamed with Sean O’Donnell (from the band Reeve Oliver) to form a new band together called Big If.

The duo have been working on demos together and recording song in their home studio in Phoenix.  Several songs have been posted on the band’s MySpace page at:

There has been no announcement if the duo plans to formally release an album, of if this is simply a side project for both members.

Key announced during the summer of 2008 that Yellowcard would be on indefinite hiatus, setting no timetable for a return.

“"It could be a year, 10 years, or 6 months,” Key said during an interview last May regarding how long fans could expect the band to be on hiatus.  “It's been an interesting time in this business and our record label. It's just...we kind of need a break.”
