The Cranberries guitarist Noel Hogan has confirmed that the Irish band will disperse after the release of their last and latest album, In The End.
In The End is expected to drop next year.
Hogan said in an interview with the Guardian that the band is splitting following the death of their lead vocalist Dolores O'Riordan in January.
Noel Hogan talked to the daily along with bandmates bassist Mike Hogan, and drummer Fergal Lawler about Dolores' troubled life and the challenges of working without her.
"Dolores had an awful lot going on and she was on a roll of being able to write. Lyrically, the new album is very strong," said Hogan.
"She always said she found it hard to write songs when she was happy. She always said, put a bit of misery in her life and it was easier," he added.
"We will do this album and then that will be it. There is no need to continue."
