If there's been anything interesting to watch in music in 2019, it's been the drama of Woodstock 50. Here's the latest.

If there's been anything interesting to watch in music in 2019, it's been the drama of Woodstock 50. Here's the latest:

Woodstock 50 once again appears to be on shaky ground after the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1969 festival lost its planned venue along with its second producer.

The latest hurdles for the beleaguered festival come as Watkins Glen International announced it will no longer host the event scheduled for August.

"Watkins Glen International terminated the site license for Woodstock pursuant to provisions of the contract," the venue said in a statement. "As such, WGI will not be hosting the Woodstock 50 Festival."

Shortly after the announcement from WGI, production company CID Entertainment revealed it is backing out of producing the event.

"CID Entertainment had been engaged to provide enhanced camping, travel packages and transportation for Woodstock 50," CID Entertainment CEO Dan Berkowitz said in a statement to Billboard. "Given developments, we can confirm that CID is no longer involved in Woodstock 50 in any capacity."

CID Entertainment had stepped in to replace Rick Farman's Superfly, which cut ties with Woodstock 50 after financier Dentsu Aegis backed out.

Despite the latest troubles, Woodstock 50 organizers maintain the festival will still take place and are currently looking for a new venue.

"We are in discussions with another venue to host Woodstock 50 on August 16th — 18th and look forward to sharing the new location when tickets go on sale in the coming weeks," said Gregory Peck, one of the festival's principal organizers.

The planned lineup for the festival includes headliners such as Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Miley Cyrus and Santana, among others.
