Nirvana and Radiohead have scored the highest spots on Gibson.com's list of the top albums of the 1990s. U2, Oasis, and Pearl Jam were also featured on the Top 10 list.

Nirvana and Radiohead have scored the highest spots on Gibson.com's list of the top albums of the 1990s. The Seattle grunge rocker's 1991 super-smash Nevermind took the number one spot while Thom Yorke and company's 1997 LP OK Computer was number two.

"So meteoric was Nevermind's rise, however, that it dethroned the King of Pop's Dangerous album barely three months after its release. This was the very moment alternative rock became mainstream, and the music industry has never been the same. Easily one of - if not the - most influential albums in the history of recorded music," the site says of Nevermind.

Gibson's Top 10 Albums of the 90s:

1. Nevermind, Nirvana

2. OK Computer, Radiohead

3. Achtung Baby, U2

4. Definitely Maybe, Oasis

5. Automatic for the People, R.E.M.

6. Ten, Pearl Jam

7. Metallica, Metallica

8. Time Out of Mind, Bob Dylan

9. Grace, Jeff Buckley

10. The Bends, Radiohead
