An inside source has revealed to Alternative Addiction that Jimmy Eat World has been dropped from Interscope Records, where the band has released their previous two albums. The band was absorbed by Interscope in 2003 after the band's previous home at DreamWorks Records folded. While the band nor the label have confirmed this news, an announcement from the band is expected shortly.
Jimmy Eat World has long been unhappy with Interscope, especially in recent years with the lack of promotion that the band's latest release, Chase This Light, received. Of course changing labels is nothing new to the band, as they spent their early years signed to Capitol Records, where they released three albums. It wasn't until the band left Capitol that they released their break out album Bleed American in 2001.
