Police shut down a special Los Angeles house show by the Smashing Pumpkins after annoyed locals complained.
Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin reunited after 18 years to commemorate the "1979" House Party on Wednesday.
They performed the first show successfully, but when they went for a show at the same house that their classic video was filmed, the police were informed that the music was creating a public disturbance.
The Pumpkins had played fan favorites from their first five albums and new single "Solara" at a house and garden in L.A. before law enforcement intervened.
"Great times in LaLa. Appreciation to those that came out to the Troubador. And apologies to those in Studio City for the disturbance of our nihilistic noize. ''Twas a full moon and something just gets into the blood. And respect to the police, who let us finish the set," Corgan said on Instagram.
