In addition to the acoustic collection, the band is performing with the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra on April 23 and 24 in Atlanta, GA which is to be recorded for a live DVD entitled “Collective Soul ‘Home’ with the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra”. Part of the proceeds from the collection are to benefit the Atlanta Youth Symphony. The concert will be released as a 2-CD collection . There will be an additional box set including the live CD collection, a DVD of the performance, as well as a DVD including interviews, a “making of” featurette and other exclusive materials.

Where did this idea come from? “The initial idea developed as a unique opportunity between us and the Atlanta Symphony,” says singer Ed Roland. “During discussions about the project, we learned that Atlanta houses one of the top 3 youth symphonies in the country and with our new record appropriately titled “Youth,” the idea transitioned naturally.”

Tickets for the symphony show will be available March 4 for fan club members and symphony patrons and will be available to the public March 11.
