Beck returns to the recording studio this week to begin working on the follow-up to 2002's Sea Change. Beck will co-produce the album with the Dust Brothers, who produced 1996's Odelay and also worked on his 1999 effort, Midnite Vultures. Later this month, Beck will shoot three videos for inclusion on a Sea Change DVD, one of which he'll direct himself. The other two will be shot by Steve Hanft, who directed clips for Beck's "Loser" and "Pay No Mind." There's no release date yet for either the DVD or the new album.
Beck recently completed his touring schedule in support of Sea Change, which debuted at Number Eight on the Billboard Album Chart--a career high for the artist--and has sold over 522,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan
