The Indie Song of the Day comes from El Modernist - a four-piece indie rock band from Albany, NY. The song we're featuring today is off their latest release, it's an EP called American. The song we're featuring is called "American Dream."



El Modernist takes a new approach to indie rock. They focus on guitar hooks and big walls of sound. They also feature catchy garage-rock mixed with hip-hop beats. They're like Tame Impala and Franz Ferdinand mixed together.

Their live show is intense and their music is too. The band has been playing around the Albany Music Scene since their inception in 2018 and so far they've shared the stage with Superorganism and Rooney. The band continues to push their latest EP while working on new music and looking for regional touring opportunities.
