The Indie Song of the Day comes from Cassettes. The band just released their debut LP in January called "Wild Heart." The album was recorded with Ace Enders and Nik Bruzzese. It was mixed by Vince Ratti. The band calls it their love letter to the FM era and recalls pop radio fo the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The band released a lyric video for their first single, "Born in the 90's" to go with their album release. The video makes use of someone's awesome vinyl collection and uses some awesome 90's imagery to boot.

From Philadelphia, Cassettes played in different bands in and around Philadelphia and some even were in touring bands. Now, they've all come together to make something that's original.

“The personality of the band is perfectly captured here” says Ace Enders about Cassettes. “It's similar to when the Gaslight Anthem released The '59 Sound and people freaked out because it was this mish-mosh of genre but became something cool and new. It reminds me of what that felt like which is awesome.”
